Fantasy cricket is a skill-based online game where you create a virtual team of real cricket players. Your team earns points based on how these players perform in actual matches, rewarding your cricket knowledge and strategic thinking.

As a fantasy cricket manager, you'll select players across different roles—batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, and wicket-keepers—while staying within a virtual budget. Your selections and captain choices will determine your success against other managers.

Example: A Star All-Rounder's Points

Let's say your captain scores 72 runs with 8 fours and 2 sixes, takes 3 wickets, and makes 1 catch:

Runs: 72 × 1 = 72 points

Boundaries: 8 × 4 = 32 points

Sixes: 2 × 6 = 12 points

Half Century: 1 × 20 = 20 points

Wickets: 3 × 25 = 75 points

3-Wicket Haul: 1 × 30 = 30 points

Catch: 1 × 10 = 10 points

Base Points: 251 points

Captain Multiplier: 251 × 2 = 502 points

Essential guidelines for playing fantasy cricket on AweFantasy

Team Selection Rules

Your fantasy team must consist of 11 players from the teams participating in the match.
You must select players across these categories:
- 1-4 Wicket-keepers
- 3-6 Batsmen
- 1-4 All-rounders
- 3-6 Bowlers
A maximum of 7 players can be selected from one team in a match.
You must assign one Captain and one Vice-Captain for your team.
You can make unlimited team changes before the entry deadline.

Credit System Explained

You have a virtual budget of 100 credits to build your team.
Each player is assigned a credit value based on their real-world performance and popularity.
Top players typically cost 9-11 credits, while lesser-known players cost 7-8.5 credits.
Budget players cost 6.5-7 credits.
The challenge is to balance star players with value picks to maximize points potential.
Player credit values may change between matches based on form and performance.

Contest Type Rules

Head-to-Head: Compete directly against one opponent.
Leagues: Join public or private leagues with multiple participants.
Tournaments: Multi-stage competitions that follow real cricket tournaments.
Mega Contests: Large-scale competitions with thousands of participants.
Practice Contests: Free-to-join contests to practice your skills without risk.
You can join multiple contests with the same team or create different teams for different contests.

Entry Deadlines & Lineup Changes

Team entries close at the scheduled match start time.
Late team submissions or changes are not accepted.
For tournaments with multiple matches, you can make team changes between matches.
If a scheduled match is abandoned or postponed, contests may be canceled and rescheduled.
Always check the contest deadline before finalizing your team.
The AweFantasy app sends notifications 1 hour before deadlines as a reminder.
